Every technological advancement in society owes itself to the groundwork that was laid previously. The same thing can be said about human "awakening" or consciousness. Regarding technology, we need only look back into our history a few hundred years to understand the reasoning. For hundreds of years, mankind sailed the oceans in wooded vessels, with only the slightest of improvements made to the ships, as decades passed. In 1903, two brothers in the bicycle repair business, are credited with creating the first airplane, as they managed to stay in the air for almost one full minute. Just 65 years later, plans are being made to land a human being on the moon. What we see happening is that groundwork technology which precedes any new idea, is responsible for accelerating the new "invention". This is because no technology that pre-existed, needed to be reinvented, to support the new idea. This concept is clearly visualized when we observe the number of consumer products such as modern aircraft, cell phones, GPS, and countless other technologies that are being created much faster in the development lifecycle, because of the invention of the computer. Computers and their calculating speed made it easier to create other complex products and technologies.
This technology analogy can be mirrored to depict how fast, or how slow, a society "rises" into new understanding. If there is some sort of awakening, then the speed at which it happens will be attributable to what came before, and how fast the information can be shared or broadcast. The truth-seekers and mystics have already researched the hidden knowledge and sifted through the darkness, so the new student does not have to pass down the same maze of pathways. The internet is a tool that can be utilized to inform and enlighten millions in a very short period of time. We are at a place in history whereas the truth is unveiling itself at the speed of light, and nothing can stop what is coming. Nothing.
